Sisters in Success is a group of women of all walks of life coming together for support, fellowship, and networking.
Dr. Vivek Murthy, former Surgeon General of the United States, writes in his book, Together, the healing power of human connection in a sometimes lonely world, that the human brain is “hardwired for connection,” and social connection has a tremendous impact on our physical health. Sisters in Success was started as a place for women to connect.
We all learn from each other. Some of our sisters are women who have had significant life challenges, particularly those who are involved in recovery and/or re-entry programs. Other sisters have a wide range of life experiences that have resulted in more social capital to share. One of the goals of our club is to grow our understanding of each other, expand our own “life bubble” perspectives, and empower each other.
Currently the SIS Club meets quarterly as a group to enjoy each other’s company and do an activity together. We encourage networking and small group get-togethers between each quarterly session.
